FTTx system includes 3 parts--OLT, ONU/ONT and ODN. Acted as key important part, ODN connects with OLT and ONU/ONT by optical transmission path, which can cover 20km distance or more. The main components in ODN include fibers, optical connectors, optical splitters and corresponding equipments for installing them.

ODN has 5 units--Feeder cable, optical distribution point, distribution cable, optical access point, drop cable.
